Transformer Commissioning
Transformer commissioning is managing the installation and set up of a new transformer. While this is a simplified description, transformer commissioning is a very specialized field. Considerations in commissioning a new transformer encompass procurement, dismantling and disposal of old transformers, transporting the new unit, receiving and inspection, assembly and testing. Each of these steps have to be monitored under the strictest safety practices in the industry.
STARK International can provide you with complete transformer commissioning either as a contractor on a turnkey project, or as a subcontractor if you choose to do this in-house. All aspects of transformer assembly and dressing is planned in by our transformer commissioning teams. After the unit is ready we perform a rigorous series of tests on the unit such as dew point testing, pressure testing and a nitrogen blanket application.
